Today is a Solemnity of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe!
He was given a reed for a royal scepter; a crown of thorns for a kingly crown; a scarlet robe for regal ones...and by his stripes we are healed. [Matthew 27:27-29; Isaiah 53:5]
This is our King...a merciful and loving Savior! Praise God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
