Jesus is the epitome of Priest...Prophet...King,
He was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist and allowed Baptism to be the initial sacrament and conduit into the Kingdom of God.
When the Magi appeared, they prostrated themselves before the King of Kings and Lord or Lords, giving him gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh, These three gifts truly portray the Son of God as:
KING: Gold symbolizing His Royalty...His true Divinity
PRIEST: Frankincense to symbolize the prayers and sacrifices to God the Father for all of us
PROPHET: Myrrh symbolizing his death and resurrection as he was proclaiming the Kingdom of God and being crucified for it.
