From the Ascension of Our Lord to Pentecost...
Before Jesus Ascended into Heaven, he gave the apostles/disciples a mission "to go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, until the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
"You are witnesses of these things. And see, I am sending upon you what my Father promised; so stay here in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:48-49
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts 1:8-11
As faithful Catholics, that is our own mission...to go & make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Holy Trinity. That said, we can only accomplish this by the Power of the Holy Spirit, to receive "Power from On High." Finally, we must carry this out until Jesus returns at the Second Coming, who "will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."
Whoever said that Christianity is boring...ask the Holy Spirit into your life...I promise, you will not be bored!
